Sri. Jiten Yumnam is a journalist and is an environmental activist from the state of Manipur. He has deep understanding of environmental conservation and its effects. He is from the indigenous population of Manipur. He is a part of the group, Center for Research and Advocacy Manipur (CRAM), and has been involved in protesting against the exploitation of natural resources in the State of Manipur.
